Reefer Technician

Thermo King of Springfield, with a location in the Fort Smith Arkansas area, is a privately held company since 1966, specializing in the Midwest in new and used semi-trailer reefers and tripac APU units. We are currently seeking self-motivated individuals that are willing to learn and advance in the technical field of transport refrigeration repairs. Duties & Responsibilities:

· Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of Thermo King Refrigeration units and auxiliary power units

· Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all components

· Positive interface with service writers, leadership team, parts department, drivers, vendors and customers

· Keep paper work updated and handed in upon completion

· Meet requirements for certifications

· Communicate effectively with customers

· Work safely and follow company safety standards

· Maintain a high standard of cleanliness

· Perform various other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Skills:

· 608 EPA Certification Type 2

· Must have your own set of general tools

· Ability to work with diagnostic computers for troubleshooting and repairs

· Use computers for web-based training and work order system

· Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions in a shop environment

· Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL A preferred, or the ability to obtain A CDL

· Exposure to noise, heat, cold, shop conditions

· Ability to pass a background check and drug test

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
